Almost every boat leaves from the harbour in the town centre, and most operators pick you up from hotels inside town at no extra cost. Boarding is usually late morning, and the boat returns to the same harbour on the last day. If you are staying outside town or landing that same morning, tell the operator first so the pickup time can be adjusted.
Three days and two nights is the most sold duration because it fits: Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Manta Point and one or two snorkeling stops without rushing. Two days and one night cuts the furthest stops. A day trip only reaches the three or four nearest stops and returns in the afternoon, so it works as an addition rather than a replacement.
No, and this is what surprises guests at the pier most often. The park ticket is paid separately: IDR 350,000 for Indonesian citizens and IDR 650,000 for foreign visitors, per person, not included in the package price, and arranged by the Open Trip Komodo team.
Your seat is locked once the full payment goes through the official payment page, and nothing is billed afterwards. Cancel 30 days or more before departure and you get a full refund; the closer to departure, the less comes back, and less than 7 days before departure there is no refund because the seat can no longer be resold.
