About this trip
Blessing is a 30 metre luxury wooden phinisi with a red and white hull and tiered timber cabins. It sails from Labuan Bajo on a 3 day, 2 night trip around Komodo National Park. Prices start at IDR 4,500,000 per person.
There are 8 cabins for 20 guests, so the range is wide: from master cabins with a bathtub to bunks in a shared cabin. You can travel as a couple, on your own, or with a group without chartering the whole boat.
What sets Blessing apart from boats in its class is that price range. The cheapest cabin is IDR 4,500,000 and the most expensive IDR 7,500,000 per person, on the same boat, with the same route and the same food. You pay for the room you need, not for the class of the boat.
What is the boat like?
Blessing is a wooden phinisi, 30 metres long and 5.5 metres wide. Inside there is a dining room with a long table, TV and karaoke, a kitchen and a drinking water dispenser. Outside there is a sundeck, a canoe and a paddle board you can use at no extra cost. There is Wi-Fi on board, although signal in the middle of the national park comes and goes.
Who is it right for?
Couples are best off in a Master or Deluxe cabin. Both have a double bed and a private bathroom.
If you are travelling alone or want to spend less, take the Shared Cabin. It costs IDR 4,500,000 per person, you get one bed in a bunk, and the bathroom is inside the cabin. You do not need to find a roommate; the cabin is filled with other guests.
Big groups fit well too. With 20 seats, an office or an extended family can travel on one boat, and if you take every seat, a full charter usually makes more sense.
What are the cabins like?
There are two Master Cabins. Each has a double bed with a sea window, and the bathroom has a corner bathtub as well as a shower. They cost IDR 7,500,000 per person.
There are two Deluxe Cabins. The double bed faces a wide window, and outside the door there is a private balcony with two chairs. The bathroom is inside, with a hot shower. They cost IDR 7,000,000 per person. If a bathtub is not a must, a Deluxe with its balcony is often the nicer pick over a Master.
There are two Private Bunk Bed cabins. Each has one bunk for 2 people and a private bathroom. They cost IDR 4,500,000 per person, a good fit for two friends or siblings who want their own room without paying for a double.
There are two Shared Cabins. Each has two bunks for 4 people and a private bathroom. They cost IDR 4,500,000 per person, and you can book on your own.
What about food and facilities?
Three meals a day are cooked in the boat's kitchen and served at the long table in the dining room. Drinking water, coffee and tea are available all trip. Snorkelling gear, the canoe and the paddle board are included.
The Komodo National Park ticket is not included. It is IDR 350,000 for Indonesian citizens and IDR 650,000 for foreign visitors per person, and you can add it at checkout. The full list of what is and is not included is in the Included and Not Included section on this page.
When does it depart?
The Blessing 3D2N open trip departs twice a week: Monday to Wednesday, and Friday to Sunday. The route takes in Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong Island, then Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Manta Point and Taka Makassar, and on day three you are back in Labuan Bajo around 11 in the morning.
Can I charter the whole boat?
Yes. Blessing also runs private charters of 2 to 4 days for up to 20 guests. Charter prices are per boat and step up with the size of the group. Send your dates and group size on WhatsApp and our team will send the price. For groups of 15 or more, a charter almost always makes more sense than joining the open trip.
How do I book?
Pick a date and a cabin on this page, then pay with the booking button. If your dates are not fixed yet, talk to our team first. If Blessing is full on your dates, we will find you a comparable boat.
To avoid scams, always book through this website or the official opentripkomodo.net number, +62 813 5347 7978.

Itinerary
Day 1
We cast off from KP3 Harbour in Labuan Bajo between 10:00 and 11:00. An easy warm-up trek for the view over Kelor Island, then a relaxed snorkel at Manjarite. The day closes with the magic of sunset at Kalong Island, thousands of flying foxes lifting off behind it.
Day 2
Up early to chase the iconic sunrise over the three bays of Padar Island. Then the pink sand of Pink Beach, meeting the ancient dragons on Komodo Island with a ranger, a swim looking for manta rays at Manta Point, and a stop at Taka Makassar.
Day 3
One last clear-water snorkel at Kanawa or Siaba. The boat docks back at KP3 Harbour in Labuan Bajo around 11:00, leaving you a safe margin for an afternoon flight.

Day 15 stops
- 10:00-11:00 - Board at KP3 Harbour in Labuan Bajo, meet the crew and settle into your cabin.
- Kelor Island - An easy trek up the ridge. Short but steep, and the cluster of islands opens up from the top.
- Manjarite - A relaxed snorkel in clear water over shallow reef and reef fish.
- Kalong Island - We anchor in the late afternoon and wait for thousands of flying foxes to leave the mangroves as the sun drops.
- Overnight on board.

Day 26 stops
- Padar Island - We leave in the dark to catch sunrise. The climb is real, and what waits at the top is the three-bay view Komodo is known for.
- Pink Beach - The sand is pink from broken coral. You can swim and snorkel straight off the beach.
- Komodo Island - A trek with a national park ranger to see the dragons in their own habitat. The ranger sets the route and the distance.
- Manta Point - A swim looking for manta rays. It depends on the current and the sea that day.
- Taka Makassar - A sandbar that surfaces at low tide, good for photos and a snorkel along its edge.
- Overnight on board.

Day 33 stops
- Kanawa or Siaba Island - A last snorkel in clear water. Turtles pass through Siaba often.
- Around 11:00 - Back alongside at KP3 Harbour in Labuan Bajo.
- That leaves room for an afternoon flight, but do not book one too tight.
