Leticia is our own boat, not one we source from another agent, so we know its schedule, its condition and its crew first hand. She has 10 cabins with 22 berths, and with extra beds in the two Master cabins one trip can take up to 25 guests.
What is the boat like?
Leticia is built from Kalimantan ironwood. The main engine is an eight-cylinder Mitsubishi 8N20, backed by two Mitsubishi 4D10 engines and a 40 KVA generator. On board there are life rafts for 15 and 20 people, life buoys and life jackets. A crew of 10 runs the boat.
What sets her apart: Leticia has a sea pool, a sundeck, a dining room, paddle boards and karaoke.
What are the cabins like?
All ten cabins have air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom. They are named after the mountains of West Java:
- •Master Tangkuban Parahu (upper deck): king bed, room for 2 extra beds.
- •Master Galunggung (main deck): king bed, room for 1 extra bed.
- •Deluxe Papandayan and Pangrango (upper deck), Deluxe Patuha and Puntang (main deck): queen bed for two.
- •Superior Triple Cikuray and Ciremai (lower deck): a double plus a single bed, for three.
- •Superior Double Burangrang and Guntur (lower deck): queen bed for two.
Prices differ by cabin type and deck, and you can see every rate in the cabin table on this page. Prices start at IDR 5,250,000 per person.
Who is it for?
Couples who want the roomiest cabin can go straight for Master Tangkuban Parahu. Small families fit well in Galunggung or in Superior Triple Cikuray and Ciremai, made for three. Groups of friends who want to share a boat without chartering it can book several Deluxe cabins together. And because our own team runs this boat, questions about cabins or dates get a quick answer without being passed between agents.
What will you do over 3 days?
Day 1: Pickup from your hotel, then departure. Climb the hill on Kelor Island, have lunch and snorkel at Menjerite. In the late afternoon watch the sunset at Kalong Island as thousands of flying foxes leave the mangroves, then dinner on board.
Day 2: An early trek to the Padar Island viewpoint, then breakfast. Snorkel at Long Pink Beach, trek on Komodo Island to see dragons in the wild, snorkel at Taka Makassar and Manta Point, then sunset and dinner at Kanawa Island.
Day 3: Breakfast, a last snorkel at Kanawa Island, then back to Labuan Bajo.
The order of stops can change with the weather and sea conditions. The captain makes that call, and it is a safety call.
What about food and facilities?
Meals on board (7 in total), snacks and soft drinks, plus coffee, tea and drinking water whenever you want them are included. Snorkelling gear, life jackets, paddle boards, karaoke, a guide, documentation, port fees, port clearance and harbour transfers within town are covered too.

Day 1
Board the boat at Labuan Bajo Harbor. Sail to Kelor Island for a viewpoint hike. Snorkel at Manjarite. Flying-fox sunset at Kalong Island. Overnight on board.
Day 2
Sunrise hike on Padar Island (panorama of 3 bays). Pink Beach for swimming and snorkeling. Ranger-led Komodo dragon trek on Komodo Island. Snorkel Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Overnight on board.
Day 3
A last snorkel at Kanawa Island. Sail back to Labuan Bajo, arriving at the harbour around 13:00.

Day 15 stops
- 09:00-10:00 - Pickup from your hotel or Komodo Airport, then check-in and a short briefing at the harbour.
- Kelor Island - Climb to the hilltop viewpoint, then snorkel in the clear shallow water below.
- Manjarite - Afternoon snorkel over one of the richer reefs in the area.
- Kalong Island - The boat anchors in the late afternoon; thousands of flying foxes leave the mangroves at dusk.
- Overnight on board, first night.
Day 27 stops
- 05:00 - Wake-up call in the dark. Coffee and snacks are ready on deck while the tender is prepared.
- Padar Island - A 30 to 45 minute hike to the three-bay viewpoint. Steep in sections, and the most photographed view in the park.
- Pink Beach - Snorkel off the rose-tinted sand, with the reef right in front of the beach.
- Komodo Island - Trek with a licensed ranger to see Komodo dragons in their own habitat.
- Taka Makassar - A white sandbar in open water; the floating sea pool goes in here.
- Manta Point - Snorkel for manta rays when the current and weather allow. They are wild, so nothing is promised.
- Overnight on board, second night.
Day 34 stops
- 07:00 - Breakfast on board while the boat sails to the final stop.
- Kanawa Island - The last snorkel of the trip, over the clearest coral garden on the route.
- 11:00 - Sail back to Labuan Bajo with the final meal served on board.
- 13:00 - Arrive at the harbour, then transfer to your hotel or the airport.

Overall the 3D2N liveaboard in Leticia was above expectation with friendly and attentive crews. Food was delicious and lots of varieties. Photographer always ready to capture the best photos and drone shot was fantastic. The only drawback was no hot water in the shower.
