About this trip

Andalucia 3 is a luxury-class wooden phinisi launched in 2026, sailing from Labuan Bajo on 3 day, 2 night open trips through Komodo National Park. Prices start at IDR 5,500,000 per person.

The boat is 32 metres long and 6 metres wide, built from ironwood and teak by South Sulawesi craftsmen. There are 10 cabins for 22 guests, up to 28 with extra beds. Every cabin has air conditioning and an ensuite bathroom with hot water.

What are the cabins like?

The Sharing Room is on the lower deck with 4 single beds, at IDR 5,500,000 per person. It is the best value if you travel solo or in a small group that is happy to share.

There are two Private Rooms, also on the lower deck, with a 160 x 200 queen bed. They cost IDR 13,000,000 per room for two.

There are four Premiere Ocean Rooms on the main deck, with a 140 x 200 double bed and windows straight onto the sea, at IDR 15,000,000 per room. Two of them can take one extra bed at IDR 5,000,000 per person.

There are two Deluxe Ocean Rooms on the upper deck with a queen bed, at IDR 16,000,000 per room. Each can take one extra bed at IDR 5,500,000 per person.

There is a single Suite Ocean Room on the upper deck, with a 180 x 200 king bed and a balcony with a bathtub facing the sea. It costs IDR 21,000,000 per room and can take up to two extra beds at IDR 6,500,000 per person.

Who is it for?

Couples after something special usually take the Suite for its balcony and bathtub. A family of four fits in the Suite with two extra beds. If you are two and want to see the sea from bed, take a Premiere or Deluxe Ocean Room. Solo travellers save most in the Sharing Room.

How is it different from other phinisi?

Every cabin on Andalucia 3, the Sharing Room included, has air conditioning, its own bathroom with a hot shower, and fast internet access. So you can still send photos home or check work for a moment in the evening. The operator states the bed sizes clearly: 90 x 200 singles in the Sharing Room, a 160 x 200 queen in the Private Room, a 140 x 200 double in the Premiere and a 180 x 200 king in the Suite. The boat is brand new, so the interior and equipment are in their best condition.

What is the boat like?

There is an indoor dining room that doubles as a karaoke room with windows to the sea, an open lounge with sofas and wooden tables, an upper deck in front of the wheelhouse, and a bow deck with sun loungers. The boat carries two dinghies to take you ashore and is run by 8 licensed crew.

Safety gear is complete: 40 life jackets, 2 liferafts for 25 people each, 4 lifebuoys, fire extinguishers, smoke and heat detectors, flares, an EPIRB and a SART. Navigation is by GPS and AIS with VHF radio.

Where does it go?

On day one you board in Labuan Bajo, snorkel at Manta Point, stop at the Taka Makassar sandbar and spend the late afternoon on Padar Island. You sleep on board.

Day two goes to Komodo Island to see the dragons with a ranger, a swim at Pink Beach, Penga Island, and an evening at Kalong Rinca waiting for the bats to fly out of the mangroves.

Day three is snorkelling at Manjarite and a short hike on Kelor Island before heading back to Labuan Bajo. If you fly out that day, book a flight no earlier than 12.30. The order can change with the weather and currents.

What about meals and facilities?

Included are transfers, a welcome drink, meals on board, snacks and juice, soft drinks, snorkelling gear, life jackets, bath towels, a guide and photos.

Not included: flights, the Komodo National Park entrance fee, travel insurance, personal spending and crew tips. If diesel rises well above IDR 30,000 per litre, the operator may add a fuel surcharge. You can add the national park ticket at checkout.

How do I book?
