About this trip
Raja Bintang 03 is a 26 metre boat running 3 day 2 night Komodo open trips from Labuan Bajo, leaving every Monday and Friday. Seven cabins, six private and one shared, for 16 to 20 guests.
What sets it apart from boats in the same class: both master cabins have a private balcony, there is Starlink on board, and the dining room doubles as a small bar with wide windows onto the sea. So you can still message home from the middle of Komodo National Park.
What is the boat like?
It is 26 metres long and 6.3 metres wide. The engine is a Yuchai 6MK320C, power comes from a 31.3 kVA generator, and a speedboat with a 15 HP Suzuki engine takes you to the beaches. Navigation runs on a Furuno radar, a Garmin 585 Plus GPS, a Samyung AIS, a compass and HT radios.
The operator lists the safety gear by number: a life raft for 40 people, 40 life jackets, 6 ring buoys and 10 fire extinguishers.
Shared space sits in two places. Inside is the dining room with a long table, bar stools and a drinks shelf facing the windows. Outside are two sundecks: one on the bow with a timber deck, and one on the roof with low tables and stairs up to the wheelhouse.
Which cabin suits you?
The Master Cabin is on the upper deck. Queen bed, sea windows on two sides, a sofa, bathrobes, a private bathroom and a private balcony with two chairs. The Master Middle Cabin is on the main deck with the same features, balcony included.
There are two Deluxe Cabins, both on the upper deck. A queen bed facing a big window, a reading chair in the corner and a private bathroom with a shower.
The Superior Cabin is on the main deck with a queen bed and a private bathroom. The Standard Cabin is on the lower deck with a queen bed plus a single bunk, sleeping up to 4, which works for a small family.
The Sharing Cabin on the lower deck sleeps up to 6, with a double bed and single bunks. It is the only cabin you can book from 1 person, so if you are travelling alone, this is your cabin.
Where does the route go?
On day one you are picked up at your hotel or the airport between 09:30 and 12:00, then board at Labuan Bajo harbour. Stops are Kelor Island, snorkelling at Manjarite, and Kalong Island at dusk when thousands of bats leave the mangroves.
Day two is the full one: Padar Island, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, the Taka Makassar sandbar and Manta Point. On day three there is one last stop at Sebayur or Siaba before heading back to Labuan Bajo. The trip finishes around 12:00 to 12:30, so book a flight after 13:00 or the next day. The order of stops can change with the weather.
What is included?
The boat for 3 days and 2 nights, hotel or airport pickup, a welcome drink and cold towel, disposable slippers, all meals while sailing, snorkelling gear, snacks, coffee, tea and mineral water, a tour leader and local guide, Starlink, and documentation by camera, GoPro and drone.
Not included: flights to and from Labuan Bajo, hotels before and after the trip, the Komodo National Park entrance ticket, personal expenses, and tips for the guide, photographer and crew.
Who is it for?
If you are travelling alone, take the Sharing Cabin. It is the only cabin you can book for 1 person, and you share the room with other guests, up to 6 in total.
If you are two and want a room to yourselves, every private cabin works: Superior if a private bathroom is what matters, Deluxe for a big sea window, or Master and Master Middle for a private balcony. These cabins are booked for a minimum of 2 people.
If you are three or four, say a family with children, look at the Standard Cabin on the lower deck. A queen bed plus a single bunk means one cabin is enough for 4 people.
If your group is large, the whole boat can be chartered too. Ask on WhatsApp for a private trip price.
How do I book?
Pick a Monday or Friday departure on this page, then send the number of guests and the cabin you want on WhatsApp. Our team checks the cabins left on that date and sends the exact price before you pay.
