About this trip

Alara 1 is a new phinisi (built 2025, 23.5 metres long) running shared day trips from Labuan Bajo. It sails every day with up to 20 guests, from 05:30 until about 20:00.

Where does it go?

A morning hike on Padar Island, time on Pink Beach, snorkelling at Siaba or Mawan, a ranger walk to see Komodo dragons at Loh Buaya on Rinca Island, and a sunset over thousands of flying foxes at Kalong Island.

What is on board?

An air-conditioned indoor lounge, open decks with loungers, two indoor bathrooms with hot showers and their own toilets, and an outdoor shower.

What is included?

A light breakfast, lunch cooked on board, coffee and tea, snorkel gear, towels, a guide, and hotel pickup and drop-off.

What is not included?

The Komodo National Park entry ticket, IDR 350,000 for Indonesian citizens and IDR 650,000 for foreign visitors, arranged by the Open Trip Komodo team. A photographer, alcohol and personal expenses are extra.

Can I charter the whole boat?

Yes, for groups of up to 10 or up to 20 people, with your own route.
